Position Summary:

We are looking for an Editor in Chief for KFC that will lead the development of content strategies as well as the managing the briefing, production and optimization of branded content on the KFC account.  The candidate will be a self-starter, digitally savvy with in-depth experience in content management on digital platforms, ideally from an editorial-type background.

Key Areas of Responsibility

-Drive the creation, development, management and execution of innovative branded content solutions and promotions across digital platforms in pursuit of industry defining work.

-This includes identifying objectives, roadmaps, success metrics and resources to successfully deliver on branded content projects with the integrated conceptual team

-Crafting conversation strategies in digital and social media and selling the work into clients who are new to the content arena

-Working with the integrated conceptual team to define the role that content will have in meeting marketing and campaign/communication objectives

-Own, develop and present to client the agency POV on content packaging, strategic documents, creative development, and production process of content

-Challenge the creative teams to develop better and stronger action-driven content

-Where necessary create or produce content (digital-editor type role), especially written and snack-style short form content

-Work with digital teams to develop and execute social media campaigns

-Manage blogger and influencer engagement programs

-Manage content performance

Qualifications

-5-7  years of content and/or digital editorial experience;

-Must have knowledge of branded content, advertising and digital marketing.

-Proven presentation/communication skills

-Creative sensibility & writing abilities

-Excellent leadership, organizational, negotiation, multi-tasking and motivational skills

-Understanding of analytics

-Demonstrated ability to identify, summarize and synthesize emerging consumer trends

-Solid research, writing and editing capabilities

-Strong attention to detail

-Resourceful, team player, high energy and flexible.

-Keen personal interest in social and digital media

-Proven ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and deadline driven environment

-Journalist/editorial experience preferable

Typical tasks

-Development of weekly, monthly and quarterly digital content calendar

-Management of production of calendar content with integrated teams

-Setting up experiments, objectives and trials for content and initiatives on social media platforms

-Input into campaign and platform strategies with user experience team, creative and strategy

-Engagement with users and consumers on a regular basis to garner feedback and insight around content topics

-Developing specific content strategies and scopes of work for content-heavy projects and platforms

-Regular interaction with PR team

-Meeting with client to discuss content initiatives and outcomes

-Daily scrum for production on social platforms and digital (website) properties

-Input to monthly analytics reporting

-Involvement in development of overall digital and social strategies

-Sourcing, curating, crafting content (text, visual, long form, video, infographics)

-Attendance at brand events in order to create / post content
